i have never laughed so hard when reading a book. Not even when reading Alice Clayton’s books that really are awesome with getting me to laugh did I laugh this hard.

Gavin the goof. The lovable goof. First dude listening to your friend Tyler on the to do list to get Charlotte is okay but letting him put on it what he did too much but gave great entertainment. He had such bad luck with that list. From the vomiting, Grandpa’s vitamins especially right before the ribbon cutting (this had me rolling), to his aunt and uncle and their education they gave him in his office and on the whiteboard no less was just so so funny. I never stopped laughing throughout the whole book. Even Tyler with his my little ponies and his anger over Twilight sparkle had me rolling.

Every character was awesome and so goofy. Gavin was fun and sweet. He was a little bit awkward at times but I think it was because he was trying to get Charlotte, both his and her parents were giving advice and planning the wedding while the moms were arguing on who got to wear blue, Tyler was giving him advice and making fun of him, and he wasn’t feeling to good about the outcome of it all.

Charlotte was a fun girl. Kind and sweet as well. these two belonged together. they fit one another and helped the other gain confidence and feel the could be who they are without having to pretend anything. I love when they finally come together..It was sweet and precious. These two are just two cute.

their parents are a blast and Gavin’s grandpa and best friend Tyler were to much. These side characters just truly have you laughing and in stitches. When we get Charlotte’s view it is a hoot to find out where she stood. I loved getting Gavin’s view though because it was so unfiltered and hysterical.

the story is lighthearted and precious. Hysterical and just a fun romance that has you entertained. You get lovable characters, a no angst story (except what Gavin gives himself ), laughter and joy throughout as you smile and laugh so much your side hurts. A wonderful read and perfect funny love story.

Love and Lists Chocoholics #1 edition by Tara Sivec Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews

This book had me in a fit of giggles the whole way though! I can always count on Tara Sivec to put me in a good "book mood" too, which is why I decided to read this one. Gah, I laughed so hard that I had tears in my eyes. Overall, I LOVED this book. It's light hearted, hilarious, and adds just enough angst to keep the story interesting. If you haven't read a book by Tara Sivec and are a fan out laugh out loud (like embarrassingly loud) romantic comedies than I strongly recommend picking up her books. I would suggest that you start with the Chocolate Lovers series, read then in order, and then move onto this one as the characters from the previous series ARE involved in this one. I feel that you may miss out if you don't read them in order but you can certainly read them however you want! But really, you need to read this series (and the Chocolate Lovers series). I am telling you that if your in a bad mood or in a book slump like I have been in recently that it will all change!!! Highly recommended!
This was one of the most comical books I think I've read, to date. Tara Sivec's characters are light hearted and funny. Two people are so completely in love do the strangest things and take the oddest advice on their quest to come together as a couple.

I got started with Love and Lists on audio book, listening to it with a friend and I don't think I've ever laughed so hard. This was my introduction to Tara and her witty humor. I can't say enough great things about this book.

Gavin and Charlotte are so adorably clueless when it comes to the others feelings, but the way the story plays out had me in stitches from laughing. This is a fantastic ready. Hilariously sexy and funny!
Tara Sivec is an automatic buy for me. I LOVE her books - Seduction and Snacks etc - are hysterical but she gives us enough plot and character depth to emotionally bond with the H&h and surrounding characters.

You do not have to read the series of books to understand this one -this can be read as a standalone book. But it's super helpful and worth it to go back and read at least Seduction and Snacks first. It's just too funny not to read first.
In this book, Gavin Ellis has taken over the production side of his mother's successful business (Seduction and Snacks-a chain of sex toys/bakery). The partner to this business is his mother's best friend, Liz. Liz has a daughter who is three years younger than Gavin, Charlotte. Charlotte and Gavin have grown up together since Liz and Claire (Gavin's mom) are best friends and business partners.
Gavin has found himself now in love with his best friend, Charlotte. What to do? Come out and tell her? Of course not, then we wouldn't have a book to read.
Thus, the antics begin...

The tone of the book is light hearted, humorous, a bit raunchy and immature. It never tries to take itself seriously.
Case in point, the book starts with the line, "Can someone die from a severe case of blue balls?" So you know what you are in for. Silly raucous and romantic fun.
The plot itself is silly, almost like I was watching a sketch comedy show. One bumbling scene after another. Gavin is determined to win Charlotte over and decides to make a list of things that will win her attention and heart. One failure after another, Gavin just can't cut a break. But his attempts are prankish, immature and plain stupid at times. If written by any other author, I don't think I could have finished this book, but Tara's sarcastic humor just makes me laugh and compels me to read further.

The first half of the book is written from Gavin's POV, then the other is from Charlotte's POV. I really liked that. It was interesting to see how things are so differently interpreted by the different genders. Luckily for Gavin, Charlotte is just as naive and silly as Gavin. They should be suited well for each other.

This book has the great humor. It's immature, crass and raunchy. Love it.
But the plot was sorely lacking and there was little character development little depth.
I still had to give it 4 stars - because I love books that make me laugh out loud.
If you need deep plots, lots of sex, or need to see huge character development in a book, this book is not for you.
If you want a light-hearted, laugh out loud funny (but it's immature raunchy humor) - this is for you.
