(possible spoiler alert!!) While i’ve liked both Free Falling and Alaways You, this book had me very upset. I personally did not the ending of the book and felt she made a wrong descion (possible spoiler) whilst in the hospital with the detective and what she told them about Luke. I had the kindle version also and it had many grammatical errors so i had to pieces together sentences and parts of the story. So personally the book was good but i didn’t like some of the descions the author made with certain parts of the story.Tags : Free Falling (The Best Friend Series Book 2) - Kindle edition by Kirsty Moseley. Free Falling The Best Friend Series Book 2 eBook Kirsty Moseley Reviews
I really loved the first book, I think that this story has nothing to do what is written on the back of the book or a summary of the story. To me it is more of the journey of Maisie and Luke NOT Maisie and Zach. i felt like i was deceived by what was written on the back i would have love to seen more interaction with Maisie and Zach. To me only read if is free . i really want to give it 2 stars for the deception of the story on the back but i will give it 3 because that storey was ok,
So I loved Always You and Kirsty's other novels so I knew I'd love this one too. The story was a little different than I thought it was going to be but I still enjoyed it. Maisie has this perfect life and loves every minute of it until, the new guy Zach shows up (or doesnt in her case) and trouble starts. Her life really tilts at a party when everything crashes down around her....and thats when the real trouble starts. Maisie starts getting threatened and harassed and of course she thinks its her arch enemy aka head cheerleader witch. Of course things only heat up from there and spiral out of control, Maisie is terrified for her safety and the safety of everyone she's close to, while waiting for the police to figure it out. Now all that being said and without spoiling it, I figured out who the "bad guy" was almost from the beginning and I must say that I find it incredibly naive that no one else in this story couldn't see it. The ending was ehh for me, I was pleased with it to a certain degree but kinda wanted a lil more. Overall I truely enjoyed the story and recommend it!
I was captivated by this story from the very beginning.
Maisie and Luke were beyond adorable as a couple. I loved them together. When Luke broke her heart, he broke mine as well. The pain and heartbreak that Maisie was feeling was heart-wrenching. Her agony had me in tears.
When Zachary was introduced, I was intrigued. He sounded like the perfect cure for a broken heart.
When Maisie started getting harassed, I was dying in suspense with who could be responsible. I kept going back and forth between the different characters, trying to put the pieces together.
However, when the pieces actually were put together, I wasn’t as surprised as I thought I would be. I was SHOCKED with how the story played out in the end. I kept looking at the percentage of the story that was left while I was reading on my kindle. I couldn’t believe it ended the way it did. This changed my mentality on Maisie completely. I understood her struggle, but I found her to be weak and pathetic. I also wished there was more of Zach. Moseley kept leading the reader to believe that something could possibly develop between the two characters, but it never did.
I would have absolutely loved this book, as I love her other stories, but the ending really killed it for me.
just the way she handled things in my opinion was so bad. I never really liked Luke and thought this was actually going to be more about Zach. I was extremely dissapointed that it was not. Also the way she deals with things. I didn't connect with the protagonist at all. I actually really disliked her. Luke seemed to definitely have some sort of issue, and (spoiler) I was incredulous to the fact that the girl still loved him/missed him after he had harassed her, basically manipulated her and MURDERED a girl. I couldn't even finish the book, I was way to frustrated by it
I loved this book, both 1 & 2 were GREAT, I am hoping to hear more of this story continue on with Zach...Is there a 3rd book in the series coming up soon???
This book was okay. I wasn't overly impressed like I was with her other two books. Those were both 4.5-5 stars for me. There were some parts I really liked, some parts that were okay, then sometimes I was skimming over the text. There was a huge plot twist and I will give it to the author there, I DID NOT see that coming!!
Usually a deciding factor in the book is the male lead character. I like Alpha male heroes in stories, like Clay and Liam from her other stories. BUT, Luke?!?!? He was okay I guess in the beginning, yes he was sweet, but it was a little over the top and I felt like he had a personality disorder or something. One of issues I had with the story is how much he changed in front of his friends. For example, my husband and I met our sophomore year of high school, and if we had been together for 19 months and he talked to me or said those things to his buddies I would put my foot up his a***!! There were a few times where I couldn't grasp the characters personalities. Luke was annoyingly sweet one moment, then a d***** in front of his buddies. And Maisi... Geesh, I don't feel like I connected with her hardly at all until the very end. At first you think shes some pushover for the way she allows Luke to talk to her, but 50ish pages later she punching some chick in the face. Its like she went under a complete transformation!!
What saved the book from really sucking for me was Zachary Anderson... SWOON!!! I really hope she continues this story and we get to see where they end up.
I'm trying to be vague bc I do not want to ruin this for anyone.
All in all it was a decent read. Would I recommend it, possibly... Was it worth my time - Yes. I absolutely love reading stuff by this author and I will continue to do so.
